National Route 168 links Kildale in the North York Moors to Guisborough and Saltburn-by-the-Sea. See spectacular coastal views, check out the beautiful North York Moors National Park, and pass through quaint villages with steep gradients - perfect for those wanting a small challenge.

Route 168 runs between Kildale and Brotton. It's a part on-road, part traffic-free route linking the Esk Valley in the North York Moors National Park with the Redcar & Cleveland coast near Saltburn-by-the-Sea via Guisborough.

There is a rough open moor and forest track section between Kildale and Hutton villages with steep gradients - perfect for those who fancy a challenge. There are train stations at Kildale and Saltburn.

This route forms part of the brilliant North Sea Cycle Route.
