There are many great reasons to work for Sustrans. Your hard work and commitment is rewarded with great support and flexible working conditions. Many other work related benefits are also offered.
For full time staff, the normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The core hours are between 9.30am - 4.30pm. The remaining 1.5 hours of the 7.5 hour working day are to be worked either side of this core time.
Start and finish times can be agreed between yourself and your manager. Flexibility of working hours may be required to meet the needs of certain roles. Some posts are offered on a part-time basis and there is also potential for job sharing.
Sustrans pay and grading system offers a competitive starting salary and progression.
Sustrans offer a full-time annual leave entitlement of 26 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff and those joining part way through the year). There is also an annual leave purchase scheme in place which allows staff to buy an extra week (pro rata for part time staff) of annual leave.
Sustrans believes it's important that we help you save for your retirement so access to a Group Personal Pension scheme is available for all staff. This is a scheme that both you and Sustrans contribute towards.
All new staff will be enrolled, with a 3% or 4% of basic salary contribution being matched by Sustrans. There is the option to opt out of the scheme. There is also the option of paying your pension contribution through a salary sacrifice scheme.
