Space to move

Changing our streets to make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle safely during the lockdown and beyond.

Local authorities across the UK are making changes to our streets in response to Covid-19.

These changes are designed to make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle safely whilst social distancing during the lockdown and beyond.

And we want to hear what you think about them.

Tell us what you think

We’ve created a map which shows the latest street changes across the UK.

These changes include protected cycle lanes, wider footpaths, barriers to close streets to motor traffic, and reduced speed limits.

Search for your area, click on the icon, and fill in a short form to tell us how these changes are working for you.

We’ll collate the information and report back to local authorities where appropriate. And we may use your responses to inform future policy and planning.

We'll take a look at your request and aim to get the scheme up on our map as soon as it has been confirmed.
