National Route 47 of the National Cycle Network is a mainly inland route starting at Newport and finishing at Fishguard passing through Neath and Carmarthen.

Route 47 runs from Newport to Fishguard and forms part of the Celtic Trail West which runs from Chepstow to Pembrokeshire. From Fishguard the route takes you inland through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and on to Carmarthen, Llanelli and Swansea. The route then takes you into Newport and onto the famous Transporter Bridge where Route 47 links to Route 4.
