West Counties Cycle Route

The West Counties Cycle Route is a fantastic long-distance route running from Ballinamallard, near Enniskillen, to Derry. It’s highly recommended for adventurous cyclists who want to explore Northern Ireland.

On this largely on-road route, you’ll also take in Omagh, Newtownstewart, and Strabane. There is an alternative loop which avoids Newtownstewart, instead taking you via Plumbridge.

Travelling up to Derry, you’ll enjoy superb views of the River Foyle, eventually joining the traffic-free route into the city.
