Route 688 of the National Cycle Network takes you from Winterburn to Linton-on-Ouse and is the central part of the Way of the Roses cycle route.

This section of the Way of the Roses cycle route travels across the spectacular Yorkshire Dales passing through Nidderdale and the Vale of York, via Pateley Bridge, Ripon and Boroughbridge.

The route is entirely on-road with steep ascents / descents (especially Greenhow Hill). There are signposted links from Gargrave, Skipton and York rail stations.
