Route 339 of the National Cycle Route travels from Bridgwater to Barrington (near Ilminster) via Langport and South Petherton. This route in South Somerset is a great way to explore the region and its beautiful countryside.

From Bridgwater, you travel beside the River Parrett and then on to Ilminster on level, minor roads. You'll pass National Trust property Barrington Court, Kingsbury Episcopi, Langport and the ruins of Muchelney Abbey.
