Get back into the saddle with cycle training!

cycle training

Whether commuting to work or university, taking the kids to school, or cycling for leisure, fear of traffic is one on the biggest barriers deterring people from cycling for everyday journeys. The National Cycle Network offers many great opportunities for traffic free commuting, but some road cycling is generally unavoidable.

Cycle training is by far one of the best ways to boost your confidence on two wheels. Whether you’re a regular cyclist looking to improve your skills on busy roads, or getting on a bike for the first time in years, instructors will provide expert personalised tuition to suit your individual abilities and goals.

Cycle training will help to make your journeys safe and enjoyable, and teach you many key skills such as good road positioning, signalling and visibility. Even the most experienced cyclist is guaranteed to learn something new!

We are an accredited provider of Bikeability – cycle training to the National Standard. We are also members of TABS, The Association of Bikeability Schemes.

Many of our officers are Bikeability instructors, so if you need cycle training, and work with Sustrans at your workplace or school, please ask your officer for further information.
