Here at Sustrans, our 4,000 volunteers are key to our success and we’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to each and every one of you.
The time our volunteers dedicate to Sustrans makes a huge difference in helping us to look after thousands of miles of the National Cycle Network, and to encourage even more people in schools, universities and local communities to travel actively.
Our volunteers do a wide variety of activities, for example:
- Volunteers across the UK help us to look after thousands of miles of the National Cycle Network, removing litter, cutting back vegetation and making sure the routes are clearly signed.
- We have lots of Active Travel Champions who volunteer in schools, universities and local communities to inspire more people to travel actively.
- Our Wildlife Champion volunteers help out on our Greener Greenways, building bug mansions to enhance biodiversity along the routes.
