Volunteer rangers, Newtown/ Welshpool Area / Ceidwad Gwirfoddol Ardal Casnewydd/Y Trallwng

Sustrans are looking for a number of new and enthusiastic rangers to cover the Newton / Welshpool area.

Become a volunteer ranger and help to look after a section of the National Cycle Network near your home, and so encourage more people to walk and cycle.

You will become the eyes and ears for Sustrans and our many partners. We’ll rely on you to deal with minor problems yourself and report major problems so they get dealt with rapidly.

The Newton/Welshpool volunteer group require rangers to look after sections of route on the Network between;

Route 85

Route Description

The section of Route 85 between Llangollen to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a popular with families. Llangollen has often been referred to as the gateway to North Wales, and it’s easy to see why.  It’s a haven for sightseers, cyclists and walkers of all ages. The area's natural beauty is part of what brings people here.
