Route Description

The route starts in the lovely Mid Devonshire town of Tiverton.  Taking you through the centre of the town, the route heads north past People's Park on Park Road.  From here you join Bolham Lane which takes you past a fantastic National Trust property called Knightshayes - a grand and gothic country estate. The property has acres of gardens and parkland which are home to over 1200 plant species unique to Knightshayes. The house, designed by William Burges, is quirky and unusual with gargoyles, corbels and a medieval inspired great hall.

From here the route continues up Vanpost Hill before joining the Old Tiverton Road which takes you into Bampton, a historic town close to the Somerset border.  The town is also on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, making it a great jumping off point to go exploring.
