Route 768

Route Description

Route 768 starts beside the roundabout junction of the A907 and B9140, just west of Tullibody in Clackmannanshire and currently runs for four miles to the east side of Alva. It is a continuation of the railway path (part of Route 76) that runs from Cambus. Route 76 turns left at the junction and heads toward Stirling on the old road. Route 768 carries on north on the railway path for just over a mile to the village of Menstrie, crossing the River Devon on the way. At Menstrie, it goes on road and after a short distance turns right along the quiet Hillfoots Road for 2 ½ miles to Alva. It is planned to continue Route 768 along the foot of the Ochil Hills to Tillicoultry, where it will link with Route 767 (The Devon Way) which leads to the village of Dollar.
