National Route 647 follows the line of the former Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway. Before Harby, you leave Route 64 and join a traffic free path which takes you over the River Trent using the beautiful Fledborough Viaduct. After Fledborough the route joins quiet roads which take you into Tuxford and onto Bevercotes via West Markham and Milton.
After Bevercotes there is a short traffic free section before you join the B6387 which takes you into Bothamsall. Travelling through the village and the Nineteen Acre Wood there is another traffic free section until Gold Medal Wood. Here the route joins Route 6 which takes you all the way into Worksop.
Type: A mixture of traffic-free and on-road surface.
