Route 166 is currently signed on-road from Kirkham village to Hunmanby via Norton-on-Derwent and Sledmere across the rolling Wolds. There are train stations at Malton and Hunmanby. Beginning in Kirkham, the route takes in views of the River Derwent and travels along quiet country roads. Passing spectacular scenery before arriving in beautiful Hunmanby, it comes as no surprise that this village is known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds. The views down over farmland to North Yorkshire's famous sea side resort of Filey are stunning.
This route forms part of the much larger 146 mile Yorkshire Wolds cycle route.
