CityConnect Cycle Training

In West Yorkshire, we are working with CityConnect and BikeRight! to deliver free bicycle training for commuters and people trying to get back to work.

The course offers three levels of training from people who have never ridden a bike, to improvers, and an advanced course for confident riders who want to tackle busier roads for a faster commute to work.

The cycle training is open to anyone who lives in West Yorkshire and is over the age of 16, and it is free.

CityConnect Cycles will provide participants with a bike and a helmet while they are on the course.

Michelle was diagnosed with depression in 2017 and was working through a recovery programme when she read about our free training for bike commuting with CityConnect Cycles on Facebook.

Getting back into cycling revived a childhood passion and helped get her back on the road.

Little by little, she is building up her physical strength and aims to make her bike a form of transport.
