Senior Evaluation Officer, Research and Monitoring Unit x 2

Sustrans, the charity that's making it easier for people to walk and cycle, is seeking to fill the following two key vacancies within our Research & Monitoring unit.

The role

Sustrans Research & Monitoring Unit provides evidence on sustainable and active travel that is transparent and authoritative and which influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.  

These two roles will play an important part in developing our understanding of active travel in Scotland with responsibilities for evaluating our work focused on behaviour change and community engagement.  

Duties will include developing and managing a small team as well as overseeing aspects of our wider programme of monitoring, evaluation and appraisal work.

About you

We are seeking creative, passionate and experienced individuals to join our team of over 50 people based across the UK. 

If you have a good understanding of best practice in monitoring and evaluation techniques, have demonstrable project management skills and are a great communicator with the ability to present technical information in a clear way this could be the opportunity for you. 

You will be able to draw on a wide range of research methods and apply them to real world projects, have strong analytical skills, experience of working with partners and clients and know how to get the best out of others both through line management and task supervision.  

You will also be committed to the promotion of active and sustainable travel.
