Sustrans is looking for a Senior Engineer, who is passionate about sustainability, to help design and deliver outstanding cycling and walking infrastructure schemes to enable us to achieve our vision of a society where the way we travel creates healthier places and happier lives for everyone.
You will help develop and improve the National Cycle Network (NCN) through our “Paths for Everyone” work and partner with a range of stakeholders as we seek to upgrade the NCN into high quality traffic free or quiet back road routes. “Liveable Towns and Cities” is another of our core priorities and will see you working on projects such as conceptual cycle super-highways, working hand in hand with local communities reshaping their streets and, alongside local authorities, unlocking the wider road network to encourage greater active travel.
We are looking for Engineers with strong highways background and a flair for delivering high quality infrastructure design. Engineers who can demonstrate a strong track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders and as technical experts within multi-disciplinary teams. In return we can support you to develop new skills and give you the freedom to express yourself creatively. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team where you can make a big impact and where we value the contribution and expertise of everyone.
Interviews will be held over Skype / Zoom on Wednesday 17 or Thursday 18 June 2020.
