This role will support Sustrans in ensuring our policies are strong, compelling and well-evidenced, working with colleagues to embed travelling actively in national and local policy.
The role contributes to a programme of work that ensures Sustrans engages and influences key stakeholders to see the value of making it easy for people to walk and cycle more often for every day journeys.
With a good standard of education and proven experience in a similar role, you will have experience of researching or communicating public policy and of developing productive working relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to take an analytical approach to complex policy subject matters and to build and maintain effective working relationships.
You will also have good organisational skills, be IT literate and have a good understanding of current transport issues and the politics in Scotland. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
