Healthy Streets Officer, Behaviour Change

Sustrans is working with Transport for London’s Healthy Streets programme across Greater London to support people to travel more by walking, cycling and using public transport.

This is an exciting opportunity for Healthy Streets Officers to assist London boroughs to promote active travel by delivering behaviour change projects that respond to local needs by organising activities and events in schools and communities; increasing uptake of Cycle Skills training; and improving school engagement with TfL’s sustainable travel accreditation scheme STARS (Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe).

With experience of delivering practical projects within a community-based environment, you will have previously worked with children and young people and have experience of working with a diverse range of adults.

You will also have experience of partnership working and delivering projects with competing priorities.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others.

You will have an understanding of issues facing communities that experience inequalities and you will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
