The role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join Sustrans’ Research and Monitoring Unit (RMU), the UK’s leading centre of excellence for active travel monitoring, evaluation and research.

Your work will contribute to providing evidence on sustainable and active travel, influencing and shaping policy, practice and behaviour in London and across the UK.

By providing robust and authoritative monitoring and evaluation of our work, you will be assisting Sustrans in our vision to allow people to travel in ways that benefit their health and wellbeing and the environment.

About you

We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about active travel, someone with strong analytical skills, knowledge of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and the ability to produce clear reports. You will have experience of the planning and delivery of research, monitoring and evaluation projects and be someone who wants to enhance your existing skills and develop new ones.

In this role, you will be leading projects and supporting others with activities such as data collection, data analysis, writing reports and external communications. You work will contribute to the delivery of a variety of public realm, infrastructure and behaviour change projects across London and the UK. You will also be part of a team undertaking cutting edge research on active travel.
