This Easter visit some of the UK’s best attractions, castles and fantastic historical landmarks by bike or on foot.

Here are some of our favourites from across the UK that are within easy reach of the National Cycle Network, and are holding special Easter events.

The Eden Project, Cornwall

The Clay Trails leads you all the way to the Eden Project in Cornwall, where they offer a discount on entry if you arrive by bike. Over the Easter weekend and following week there are all sorts of family fun activities to take part in including the Big Bug Challenge with National Geographic Kids, storytelling and tea-tasting.

Llanelli Wetland Centre, Carmarthenshire

The Port Talbot to Kidwelly route is largely traffic-free and takes you through woodland, along coastlines and into some of Wales' best urban landscapes. You’ll pass Llanelli Wetland Centre, and between 30 March - 3 April, you can join in a their annual giant duck hunt across their beautiful grounds.

Whitby Abbey, Yorkshire

The Scarborough to Whitby route is a lovely coastal ride with fantastic views, secluded coves and historic sites. Go on an Easter Adventure Quest and find characters from the past to help solve the challenge and seek out your chocolate reward, all taking place over the bank holiday weekend (30 March - 2 April).

Dunham Massey, Greater Manchester

The Trans Pennine Trail between Stretford and Dunham Massey is seven miles of traffic-free cycling. This Easter the National Trust has teamed up with Cadburys to run an Easter egg trail in the grounds of this beautiful property. You can take part in a magical trail to save the garden from the troll during the Easter half-term period from 30 March – 23 April. Or you can escape the Easter crowds, there are lots of areas of the wider estate, the garden or the house where you can relax.
