Sustrans bike ride to explore the Southern slopes of Dartmoor

Join Sustrans volunteers as we team up with fellow volunteers from Sustainable South Brent and PL21 Transition Town for a guided evening bike ride to discover the beautiful southern slopes of Dartmoor.

This wonderful evening bike ride will start in South Brent and follow the truly magnificent Dartmoor Way. We'll enjoy to a well deserved refreshment stop at the brilliant Abbey Inn by the side of the River Dart in Buckfast ,before returning back along quiet lanes to South Brent.

We'll cycle approximately 20 miles in total, and the route may be hilly in some places. But we'll allow plenty of time to complete the route.

Everything you need to know

We'll meet in the car park by the old railway station in South Brent at 18:00 for the start of this ride. The route is on tarmac lanes and we'll return to South Brent at approximately 20:45.

Please bring suitable clothing for all weather, sun protection, waterproofs and something to drink.

Refreshments can be obtained at the Abbey Inn, Buckfast. However if you wish to bring your own refreshments, it may be that this will have to be consumed off the Inns premises.

All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
