Join Sustrans volunteers on this Go explore with Sustrans family-friendly led ride along National Route 4, skirting the edge of the lovely Gower Peninsula.

A ride along the beautiful Loughor estuary to the Wildfowl Centre at Penclacwydd, where there will be time to explore.  We will return towards Dunvant with a stop at Loughor Boat Club before travelling on to Ddol Farm where tea and cake will be served. There will be time to explore the farm, with its bees and grapes.

This led ride is one of 21 rides making up the Gower Cycling Festival.

Event details:

  • Meet at Dunvant RFC at 10am.

  • This ride is an easy 16 miles of mostly flat route, aiming to return to Dunvant RFC at 5pm.

  • Lunch can be purchased at the Wildfowl Centre, or bring your own.  

  • Please wear suitable clothing for the weather, bring sun protection, waterproofs and something to drink.

  • All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Gower Cycling Festival

The festival is based in the lovely Gower Peninsula from 13-20 August 2016, comprising of 21 rides ranging from gentle excursions suitable for families with small children to challenging rides for the fitter and more experienced.  You can camp at Dunvant RFC, where most of the rides start.  We visit places of local and historic interest.
