Join Sustrans volunteers for a led bike ride from Newton Abbott to the foothills of Dartmoor at Bovey Tracey.

Cycle 12 miles return journey mostly along the National Cycle Network beside the former Stover Canal on a family ride seeing beautiful views towards Dartmoor.

We'll start at The Lodge indoor skate park where the ride follows a mixture of traffic-free paths and quiet country lanes along which we’ll see hedge lined meadows, wooded glades and wildlife habitats as we criss-cross the old canal and adjacent railway.

Everything you need to know

Meet at the Lodge Indoor Skate Park, Wharf Rd, Newton Abbot TQ12 2DA at 10am. Adult bikes and helmets are available to hire from the Lodge.

The ride is fairly level and with slight hills suitable for families with children aged 8 years and above.

Total distance: 12 miles.

Refreshment stop at Café 3 sixty, Bovey Tracey.

We'll return to The Lodge at about 1:30pm.

Please wear suitable clothing for all weather and bring waterproofs, sun protection and something to drink. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
