Discover the southern slopes of Dartmoor by bike with Sustrans

Join sustainable South Brent, PL21 Transition Town & Sustrans volunteers to discover the beautiful Southern slopes of Dartmoor on this September evening ride.

The ride is approximately 20 miles long. We'll start in South Brent and follow the brilliant Dartmoor Way to a refreshment stop at the Abbey Inn by the side of the River Dart in Buckfast. We'll then return back along quiet lanes to South Brent.

In places, the route will be hilly but we will be allowing plenty of time to complete the ride.

Everything you need to know

Meeting point: The car park by the old railway station in South Brent, TQ10 9AJ at 18:00 for the start of this ride.

The route is on tarmac lanes.

Please bring suitable clothing for all weather, bring sun protection, waterproofs and something to drink. Refreshments can be obtained at the Abbey Inn, Buckfast. However, if you wish to bring your own refreshments, it may be that this will have to be consumed off the Inns premises. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Please ensure that all cycles are equipped with suitable lights for the return leg and that hi-vis jackets/waistcoats are worn.
