Project Officer, Network Cycle Network Development

This exciting role will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of practical projects that focus on developing, growing and improving

the National Cycle Network (NCN) in line with the Paths for Everyone vision and the NCN Review.  This will involve assisting with the delivery of projects through a range of activities including providing project management support, developing feasibility and route studies, working with consultants and contractors, supporting community engagement, developing signage, mapping and promotional initiatives.

 

With a good standard of education, you will have experience of project management, of community consultation, outreach and engagement, of working with local authorities and community groups  You will also have experience of building and maintaining productive working relationships.  Your excellent written and verbal communications skills will enhance your ability to engage with local community groups and to motivate and enthuse others.  You will have knowledge and understanding of best practice in providing for cyclists and pedestrians in urban and rural environments and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
