This new and exciting role will be responsible for working with our press office team to secure a high volume of positive media coverage, pitching winning ideas to trade, business and national media that deliver on organisational objectives.
With a good standard of education and experience of managing media projects to generate media coverage in trade and national journals, you will have experience of translating complex issues for a media and public audience, experience of applying creative PR techniques and of building and sustaining productive relationships with journalists, commentators and bloggers. Your excellent written and verbal communications skills, which will include writing for online and social medial channels, will complement your ability to produce high impact and inspiring copy, media statements, opinion pieces and blogs. You will be a highly motivated self-starter, calm under pressure, fully IT and digitally competent and able to work to tight deadlines. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
