Based across South Wales with days at the Sustrans Cardiff office occasionally required
 

In this exciting and challenging role, working along various specified lengths of the National Cycle Network, you will manage a small team which maintains and builds traffic-free routes in the area to provide attractive and safe paths to encourage more use by cyclists and walkers.  You will be familiar with the use of tools such as chainsaw, mower, leaf blower, brush cutter and other power and hand tools to carry out tasks.

 

Experienced in leading a team and with good IT skills, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills. You will be willing to travel around South Wales to undertake maintenance duties in a safe and professional manner and will assist in compiling work schedules for the team. You will have experience of health and safety protocols and site management practices and of coordinating and supervising volunteer workdays which will take place on Sustrans paths. It is essential that you are committed to sustainable transport and have an enthusiasm for keeping Sustrans paths attractive and safe.
