Hub & Events Assistant

£17,792 - £19,701 pro rata per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience)
22.5 hours per week – Wednesday to Saturday, contract to 31 March 2020

This exciting and challenging role will engage with visitors to the Travel Choices Hub in Dunstable, interacting with members of the public and providing accurate information about active and sustainable travel in Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Luton, Harlington, Flitwick,  Ampthill and occasionally further afield. The role will also include organising small scale events and activities with local residents and meeting with partner organisations.


With a good standard of education and experience of sustainable behaviour change or engagement activities, of partnership working with local partners and of organising events, you will have excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal, customer facing skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others.  The ability to develop good working relationships and a positive approach to engaging with others is also required as is IT literacy and a local knowledge of sustainable transport.  You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
