£21,965- £24,586 per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience)

Working with schools in the South Central area, including Belfast, North Down, Ards, Lisburn, Castlereagh and Down, this is an exciting role to support the selected schools in increasing the number of pupils travelling actively and to deliver a planned programme of activities with the aim of getting more children walking, cycling and scooting as their main mode of transport on their school journeys.  Ideal for a teacher who is between permanent roles or currently undertaking sub work.  In partnership with the Department for Infrastructure and the Public Health Agency continuing delivery of the Active School Travel Programme.

                                               

With a good standard of education and committed to active travel and the ideals of Sustrans, you will have excellent communication and presentation skills, experience of working with children and young adults, experience of delivering physical activity or behaviour change projects within local communities, be very enthusiastic about the role and have the ability to motivate others.  Experience of successful partnership working with in a community based, or environment project and a commitment to the promotion of active, sustainable transport is also required. Clearance by an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check is mandatory for this position.
