Fundraising Preference Service
The Fundraising Preference Service (FPS) is a new website-based service that enables individuals to stop email, telephone calls, addressed post and/or text messages from a selected charity or charities. You can contact charities direct or use the FPS. Those without access to the website can call 0300 3033 517. Requests to the FPS will take up to 28 days to be actioned by the charity.

- We are committed to protecting your privacy, so we will hold your data securely, in line with UK legislation and for only as long as required.
- We will never sell or swap your data with other charities or organisations. We will only share your information with trusted third-party organisations acting on our behalf with regard to your membership or our work.
- We don’t ‘cold-call’ or send post to people who haven’t expressed an interest in our work. We will only contact you if you’ve said it's okay for us to get in touch. This will usually be when you first started supporting us or if we spoke to you on the phone.

How can I update my details?
If you want to inform us about a change in contact details or bank account please email the Supporters Team or if you'd prefer call us on 0300 303 2604. We will need your supporter number and old address so we can be sure we get the right person.
How can I change the amount I am donating?
If you'd like to change the amount of your Direct Debit you can do this online with your DD reference or if you'd like to speak to us about any aspect of your giving please email the Supporters Team supp[email protected] or call 0300 303 2604 with your supporter number or postcode. We’ll confirm any changes to your Direct Debit by email or letter before your new payments start.
If you want to cancel your Direct Debit then we can do that too. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to keep you with us. Our regular givers are incredibly important to us and we really appreciate whatever level of support you can give.

How does Sustrans fundraise?
In order to continue building our vital routes and bring our life-changing projects to schools, workplaces and communities across the UK, we are reliant on charitable donations from the public. Our in-house fundraising team runs a variety of campaigns throughout the year including special appeals, mail campaigns, a autumn raffle and more. However, there is no substitute for direct contact with the public to tell them about our work and inspire new supporters to join our movement. That is why we employ face-to-face and telephone fundraisers.
Sustrans face-to-face fundraisers work on the National Cycle Network and other fundraisers work on the telephone. Sustrans volunteers also hold fundraising events on the Network. Our fundraisers and volunteers are all extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the work we do, and we couldn't do it without them.
We sign up supporters on our routes using Sustrans Direct Debit forms or verbally on the telephone. Volunteers may also collect cash at fundraising events.
How can I recognise a Sustrans fundraiser?
Legitimate Sustrans fundraisers wear red or blue tops with the Sustrans logo and Sustrans photo ID. They are trained to adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice.
Sustrans volunteers work UK-wide and wear Sustrans t-shirts and/or tabards with an ID badge. They only collect donations using Sustrans collection boxes or buckets.
