Route 61

National Route 61National Route 61 of THE National Cycle Network will connect Maidenhead to Rye House Station where the River Stort joins the River Lea via Uxbridge, Rickmansworth, Watford, St. Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hertford and Ware.

The route is also a part of National Route 6 between Watford and St. Albans, and a part of National Route 12 between Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City. There is also a spur of National Route 61 between Slough and Heathrow Airport.

Open Sections: The route is open and signed between the edge of Maidenhead and Watford and between St. Albans and Rye House Station (Hatfield to Welwyn Garden City is also signed as National Route 12).
Between Watford and Chiswell Green the route is open and signed as both National Route 6 and 61.
