Salmon Run

National Route 77 sign

From - to: Dundee to Pitlochry

Distance: 54 miles

The Salmon Run starts from the junction with National Route 1 at the Tay Road Bridge in Dundee. It quickly passes 'Discovery Point', opposite the railway station. Dundee's river front is one of the finest in Europe and is well worth exploring. National Route 77 follows the winding course of the River Tay upstream. For most of its length the route takes quiet country roads and dedicated cycle paths with some short off-road sections. The published Sustrans map also shows five suggested shorter circular rides based around the signed route.
