Distance: 163 miles. Map shows 181 miles of route, 61 of which are traffic free.

A journey through rural and urban landscapes at the heart of England. From the spires of Oxford to the birth place of William Shakespeare. Through Redditch and the rolling landscape of North Warwickshire into Birmingham, the geographical heart of the NCN. Onto Derby via Walsall and then through Sandwell Country Park, Lichfield and Burton Upon Trent and following the railway path from Etwall.
