So you want to organise the break yourself. You've come to the right website. With over 400 maps and guides, both free and retail available through the Sustrans Shop you'll get a good choice of routes to suit where you want to cycle and the sort of cycling you want from your break.
Of course, you will need accommodation. You can find hostels located on our mapping. There are also lots of independent accommodation providers providing a warm welcome to cyclists, here are a few suggestions:
- Visit Britain's Cyclists & Walkers Welcome - England (link to online shop), a guide to over 500 accomodation providers that cater for cyclists and walkers.
- The CTC's Cyclists Welcome site includes accommodation, refreshment stops and bike shops.
- The YHA has Youth Hostels and Bunk Barns across the UK. Find accommodation and book online at YHA (England & Wales), SYHA (Scotland), Hostelling International NI (Northern Ireland).
- The Independent Hostel Guide (link to online shop) covering the independent hostels and backpackers in the UK and Europe.
