"I love every minute of being a Bike It officer. The job is so rewarding and I really enjoy carrying out activities and working with schools to encourage more children (and adults) to cycle to school. I'm pleased that my work allows me to do so much to help children make a real difference, trying to reduce congestion by encouraging them to cycle instead of travelling by car."
Before Bike It, Pamela used to work as an assistant Road Safety Officer, where part of her role involved teaching cycle training in schools.

What's Pamela up to?
I'm thoroughly enjoying working with my excellent Bike It schools, pupils, teachers and parents in Middlesbrough and Stockton. I have some fantastic events booked in for summer, with the Get Cycling team visiting Ingleby Mill and The Glebe. We'll also be launching five cycle shelters, which should see some excellent opening events and lots of great press coverage. Six new schools will be picked to become Sustrans' Bike It schools in Stockton, so it's all go. Fingers crossed for some nice weather and lots and lots of cycling.
