Jennie joined Sustrans in March 2010
"I am delighted to be working as Sustrans' new Bike It officer in Derby. From an early age I have enjoyed riding bikes. My interest for cycling was rekindled at university as my main mode of transport. I love that cycling is a clean form of transport, very cheap, and most importantly of all, very sociable and fun! What better way to promote the benefits of cycling to young people, especially to their health and the environment, than through Bike It.
I have moved to Derby from Stoke-on-Trent where I was a Bike It Officer for a year and a half.”
Before joining Sustrans, Jennie studied music at university where she developed her passion for the environment. She can't wait to enable schools to increase cycling levels amongst their pupils, parents and staff in her Bike It Schools.
