Jason joined Sustrans in February 2007

"My Dad put me on a bike when I was six, and although I could hardly reach the pedals, the absolute thrill and dynamism of cycling captivated me then and has held me ever since. Cycling answers so many of our problems with Health, Environment and Sustainability that I feel especially lucky to be working at the heart of it all and promoting cycling with Bike It. Plus it's so much fun bringing bicycles and children together!"

Jason previously worked as a Bike It officer in Luton, Bedford and St Albans. Before Bike It, he worked as a National Standard Cycle Trainer and Mountain Bike Guide while completing a BA in Adventure Recreation. He has also worked on the other side of the tracks as a railway guard and conductor and spent two years working in Australia. Jason's schools for 2011/12:

What's Jason up to?

This autumn we awarded the first Silver Schoolmark to Corpus Christi Catholic Primary, who benefited from being the first school engaged with the project in the area.  Cash injection into cycle storage from Sustrans, sustainable routes and crossings from Bournemouth Borough Council assisted them to lead the way in the area, their own inclusive across age group initiatives, coupled with Sustrans ideas and Bike it Officer intervention make them amongst the first group of schools nationally to receive this award 3 years after its inception.
