Bike It School Mark
We want Bike It's results to last, which is where the School Mark comes in. Over 960 schools are enjoying working towards the structured Bronze, Silver or Gold awards. Over 500 schools are proudly displaying their Bronze plaque and over 30 displaying their Silver. Talk to your Bike It officer to get started.
What does each stage involve?
The Bronze School Mark
Will be awarded to schools that work in partnership with their Bike It officer to bring about some organisational, cultural and behavioural changes that help to support pupils in cycling to school.
The Silver School Mark
Will be awarded to a school that continues to demonstrate its commitment to the ideals of the Bike It project, but with more of the energy and resources coming from within the school and its community.
The Gold School Mark
Will be awarded to a school that has demonstrated ongoing commitment to the project over several years which has led to significant and lasting organisational, cultural and behavioural changes, and where the school is continuing with little or no input from the Bike It officer.
