Sustrans 'I Bike' in Scotland

I Bike is a fantastic new cycling project in Scotland. It aims to get hundreds of children travelling to school more actively. Two I Bike Cycling Officers now work in Edinburgh and Perth (funded by the Bike Hub) in this pilot project which is supported by the Scottish Government, Edinburgh City Council and Perth and Kinross Council. Lynn joined Sustrans in Sept 2009

"I've always loved being outdoors and keeping fit, especially on my bike, so was thrilled to join Sustrans' fantastic team in July 2006. I'm a keen mountain biker in my spare time and, living in Edinburgh, there are brilliant natural trails in the Pentland hills close to where I live. I'm looking forward to enabling more young people to discover the joys of all types of cycling, whether for transport or for sport."

Lynn grew up in California and moved back to Scotland aged 15, going on to study Media Studies and Video Production. She has since worked as a Production Assistant in Hollywood, a nanny in Cambodia and for a bank in Scotland. She now loves working for Sustrans and was a School Travel Project Officer for two years before becoming a Cycling Officer.

My passion for the environment continued with a Masters at Edinburgh University. I am now thrilled to be a Sustrans Cycling Officer, working with young people to encourage cycling and cultural change in our attitude to this incredible mode of transport."

Kelly has a Degree in Biology and Ecology from University of the West Indies, Barbados. She's worked as a sea turtle patrol officer, at a children's recreational facility and as an information officer with the national tourist board.
