Sustrans' collaborated with artist-activist group PLATFORM in The C-Word exhibition at the Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol.
A two-month occupation of the gallery and investigation into carbon, climate, capital and culture. Based on PLATFORM's 25 years of research, art and action, C Words cross-examined the present and looks to the next two decades. How did we get here? Where are we going? Who's deciding? Who's made invisible? Whose future matters? C Words investigated how everything from carbon offsets and transport, to racism and bank accounts play their part in the carbon web.
Amongst a myriad of events, as part of this exhibition Ackroyd and Harvey were commissioned to develop The Walking Forest and Sustrans Art Programme staff set up The Slow Travel Agency on the first floor of the Gallery during specially designated 'Slow Travel Weekends'.
