Sentinel 1 by Jim Paulsen
This dynamic and memorable sculpture provides a long distance landmark that can be seen in advance by passing travellers. Sentinel 1 forms part of a series works to mark particular site, Sentinel 2 can be found at nearby Mangotsfield station and Sentinel 3 is sited near Kilmarnock, in Scotland.
Concentric Twist by d3 Art and Design
Concentric Twist was designed by d3 Art and Design (Ngaire Jackson, Clare Lawson and Gery Woodcock) to symbolise the act of cycling. The work in sited at Lisburn, Northern Ireland on the Lagan and Lough Cycle path, National Route 9. Visit the Lagan and Lough Cycle Path link to find out more.
The Lady of Shallott by Anwick Forge
The Lady of Shalott by Anwick Forge lies on the Water Rail Way, between Boston and Lincoln, National Route 1. The staggered arches act as a gateway on route between the two site and reference the poetry of Alfred, Lord Tennyson to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the former Poet Laureate's birth. The piece takes as its reference the opening lines of "The Lady of Shalott", one of Tennyson's most famous poems: "On either side the river lie Long fields of barley and of rye That clothe the wold and meet the sky And thro' the field the road runs by........."

This gateway by Dominic Clare is made from oak and stainless steel, and marks the start of finish of National Route 8 at Porthmadog, overlooked by Mount Snowdon, North Wales.
