The Scottish Government has published the Health Survey for 2008, reporting that 39% of adults meet the physical activity recommendations and over 60% of adults are overweight.

Scots life expectancy increases
Life expectancy in Scotland has improved over the last decade but still remains among the lowest in Europe, according to new statistics. Average life expectancy for men is now 75 and for women is almost 80.
