Leeds Universities - UTravelActive
UTravelActive aims to increase the level of walking and cycling amongst staff and students at the University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University, and in communities around the Universities.
Activities and events
- Drop-in bike maintenance and information sessions are held every Wednesday and Thursday during term time, 12.00 - 16.00, at Velocampus Leeds Bicycle Hub.
Cycle maintenance
We run regular self-help maintenance workshops on University of Leeds campus, where staff and students can get guidance on how to maintain their own bikes.
Cycle training
Want to build up your confidence on a bike, or find the best route to University? We offer cycle training in partnership with the Council's Road Safety Team for all University members.
Outreach
UTravelActive also organises workshops and visits to schools, to promote walking and cycling to school children.
Velocampus Leeds
Velocampus Leeds is a low cost bike hire scheme for University of Leeds and Leeds Met students. Available from September onwards, all bikes are ready to ride and come complete with lights, mudguards, rack, lock, and servicing.
