Following the wide curving sweep of Swansea Bay, this route offers fantastic views across to Mumbles Head and the start of the Gower Peninsula. Starting at Swansea Marina, the path follows the coastline to the Victorian seaside town of Mumbles along the route of the former Mumbles railway.
The route is flat and traffic-free with a variety of refreshment stops and attractions along the way.
Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea and you can visit the Dylan Thomas Centre near the start of the route which celebrates the work of the famous poet.
In picturesque Mumbles you'll find a variety of cafés, restaurants and pubs, and the dramatic 12th century Oystermouth Castle which overlooks Swansea Bay.
