Eglinton Country ParkLinking the towns of Irvine, Kilwinning and Kilbirnie, the 18 mile Garnock Valley Cycleway forms part of National Route 7. Starting in Irvine, the route follows traffic-free and riverside paths passing the Garnock Floods Nature Reserve and Eglinton Country Park.

At Kilwinning, the route crosses the Kilwinning Viaduct and follows minor roads along the Garnock Valley towards Kilbirnie. The route passes the Blair Country Estate - this wooded estate is ideal for exploring by foot. At Kilbirnie the route joins the Lochwinnoch Loop Line towards Johnstone and Glasgow.

Shorter cycle trips can easily by arranged by using the regular train service from the stations listed above.
