National Route 62 |
National Route 62 of the National Cycle Network is the main route through Liverpool on the Trans Pennine Trail (West) between Southport and Barnsley via the Liverpool Loopline, Widnes and Warrington.

National Route 56 connects Chester to Childwall (where it joins National Route 62) via Wallasey and Liverpool City Centre.

Come and celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Trans Pennine Trail on Sunday 13 June along the Liverpool Loopline. To celebrate it's 21st birthday, a baton relay is taking place along the Trail during June - Liverpool takes over the carrying of the baton on Sunday 13 June from Sefton. As most of the Trail runs along the Liverpool Loop Line, this event is a great opportunity to celebrate this traffic-free route. Find out more on Liverpool City Council's cycling website.
In 2010 we hope to build on the success of the Clean Up Days we held in November 2009. Sustrans volunteers, local people and community organisations will be invited to come and clean up their patch of path. Details of the dates and locations will be available soon.
