Two Palaces ride
From - to: Buckingham Palace to Kensington Palace
Length: 2 miles with optional added loop around the Serpentine
Type: Designated cycle paths with signalled road crossings
Surface: Tarmac tracks
| National Cycle Network route number: | ![]() |

The ride begins in front of Buckingham Palace on the forecourt - cycling isn't allowed here, so please walk your bike to the start of the segregated cycle route between the southern edge of Green Park and Constitution Hill. Constitution Hill and The Mall are both closed to motor traffic on a Sunday, making it the most peaceful day to ride along this section.
A series of Pegasus crossings (for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders) take you through the Duke of Wellington arch and into Hyde Park on the segregated cycle track alongside Rotten Row. Covering 350 acres, this park is an oasis in the heart of London with over 4,000 trees, a lake, a meadow and acres of grass.
The route continues past the Serpentine Gallery and the bandstand through Kensington Gardens to the junction with the Broad Walk (also open to cyclists) near Kensington Palace.
