This route in the London Borough of Richmond takes you along attractive riverside paths and through one of London's Royal Parks.

Starting from Twickenham Station there is a short on road section, with fleeting views of the imposing Twickenham rugby ground. By The Stoop (home of Harlequins rugby club), the route goes traffic-free.

Crossing the new walking and cycling bridge into Kneller Gardens you meet the River Crane, one of many Thames tributaries in London and a very attractive section of riverside route. Just off the route is the Crane Park Island Nature Reserve which is well worth a visit.

After a mile or so on-road, the route passes into Bushy Park. With roaming deer, an interesting history and refreshment points, there is lots to see and do. You can cycle on any of the park roads, so feel free to explore.
