Sidcup Loop

Access: Sidcup Station, Albany Park Station, Bexley Station
Surface: Tarmac and good quality gravel paths
This circular route within the London Borough of Bromley takes in a number of the borough's green spaces. Starting at Sidcup Station, the route heads south west on residential roads towards Footscray Meadows; over 90 acres, this area was originally part of the Footscray Place estate and include the 'Five Arches' bridge, dating back to the 18th century.
The route then follows quiet roads to the north of the park, past Albany Park Station and onto Old Bexley, with plenty of places to stop for refreshments. Do take care on the roads around Bexley train station, which can be busy. A number of residential roads are used and after crossing the A2 on a walking and cycling bridge you will soon arrive in Danson Park. Perhaps the highlight of this circular loop, Danson Park offers traffic free paths for walkers and cyclists and many facilities including a water sports centre, tennis courts, pitch and putt golf, a variety of gardens and a cafeteria.
Roads are then followed south back to the starting point, with opportunities to leave the route and stop at a number green spaces along the Shuttle Riverway; including Willersley Park and Lamorbey Park.
